Hello! I am Val

I’m so happy to have you here at Mindful Wellness By Val

My own health journey started when I was in my early 20’s. I was feeling sick and down most of the time. My hair was falling out, I had major brain fog, and I started getting acne; so I decided to search for help in traditional medicine, I went to the endocrinologist, dermatologist, gynecologist, facialist… and was prescribed a bunch of pills that promised to “cure” all my health issues.

None of that happened and about 4 years ago, I was at my lowest point, I felt awful all the time, and I felt I hit rock bottom.
 
What I didn’t know at the time was that my thyroid was completely out of whack, causing an intense hormonal imbalance, that caused physical and psychological symptoms (Weight gain, bloating, brain fog and irritability) I was set off by the smallest things and my self-esteem was at its lowest point. Despite not having a lot of energy, I was constantly practicing some type of sport, and I thought I was eating healthy, but somehow my body never really looked toned, lean or shreaded… and I couldn’t understand why.  
 
After many many years of taking birth control pills, antibiotics for my skin, and a few rounds of thyroid medication I wasn’t seeing any progress. So, I started digging deeply, I put a lot of time doing research and that’s when I realized that getting to the root cause of my symptoms was the only answer to all my issues. At that point, I decided to take my health journey into my own hands.
 
I immersed myself into holistic health and wellness, I did extensive research on healing hormones naturally and found holistic health coaches; changed my diet, lifestyle, and most importantly, changed my mindset.
 
Do you want to know what the result was?! It worked!. For the first time in many years, I started getting progress. I had less bloating, felt better and my body weight just started to fall off, my hormone levels were optimal for the first time in years! My energy level went up and my skin got better too! All I needed, was to allow myself to rest, slow down, and eat REAL WHOLE foods.
 
As soon as I started experiencing those improvements; I knew that it was part of my calling, to share these hacks with other people… what helped me so much, and honestly, changed my entire life!!.
 
I’m a biohacker and certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC) from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and I’m here to show you how you can live a vibrant and healthy life too! One where you look and feel at your best! 

It’s about looking at yourself as a whole person and balancing all aspects of your life, being more gentle with yourself, and healing your mind body connection.

I can help you find what works for you and you can transform your own life with easy hacks that are actually doable. Mindful wellness by Val is here to provide you with the tools to support you in your journey towards becoming the best version of yourself.
